Montessori dayhome is a quality option for parents who wish to have their toddlers in an environment that will stimulate growth and development at its best. The curriculum of a Montessori dayhome should include activities such as: practical life activities, art & crafts, sensorial play, math concepts, literacy activities and science experiments. These are some examples of what the children could do during their time with us here at Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome!

Practical Life

Practical life activities are the real life activities, simply like moving a chair, brushing hair, planting seeds, taking self-care, body movements, shaking hands, and so on are some of the examples. These activities improves fine motor skills in children, develops concentration skills & hand-eye coordination.

Sensorial

Montessori material has been specially designed for kids to help them to find patterns and sequence. Sensorial helps the young ones with their five senses: sight, touch, smell, taste and sound. With repetition, kids can improve their cognitive skills including attention, memory and thinking.

Language Arts

Hands-on tactile materials are introduced to children with specific words in a sequential way. Children begin by feeling and grasping the concept of phonics, and then encoding sounds into letters, which progresses to writing when they’re ready.

Mathematics

The materials and hands on approach in this area allow children to grasp the concept of quantity before they learn larger number symbols. The logical, clear introduction helps young ones to identify math skills quickly and effectively.

Culture & Science

In the area of materials, children are encouraged to explore and relate to their natural surroundings. Geography, zoology, and botany are all in this area. It includes the study of different continents on Earth as well as various animals and plants around them.
