Is Your Dayhome licensed?
Yes. Our Private Montessori dayhome is licensed and approved with City of Calgary and is incorporated under Little Champs Montessori Childcare Inc. with Government of Alberta. We do not offer Federal Government Grants and Subsidy.
What ages do Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome serve?
We serve Children between the age 2+ and 5.
How much does Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome costs?
The dayhome fee is determined by your child’s age and how many days he or she attends. You’ll need to speak with the Center director about specific costs.
How secure Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome is?
Our dayhome has been completely customized to be safe for children for home based learning environment. All the entry access points have been fully secured with safety gates. All the electrical points and important areas have been completely baby-proofed. We offer daily reports & pictures to all parents. The center director is trained in first aid and CPR. We have undergone necessary background checks & Police verification to ensure children’s safety be prioritized while at work.
Does Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome provides food?
Yes, we serve breakfast, one morning snack, lunch and one evening snack. The meals are freshly prepared. We follow Canada Food Guide.
How many times per week are the children taken outside for outdoor play?
Weather permitted, the children are taken outside everyday for outdoor play in the backyard or at a nearby park.
Does Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome provides full-time or part-time care?
Starting October 1st, 2023, we offer customized dayhome care on full-time basis only.
Can I come take a tour before I enroll my child?
Yes, absolutely! A prior appointment must be taken for the dayhome tour which takes about 30mins approx. We keep 15 mins between every tour to sanitize the premises and ready for next tour. We also provide virtual video tour upon request.
What are your policies and childcare philosophies?
It is important to get a clear sense of the policies and childcare philosophies that we have in-place at Little Champs Montessori Childcare & Dayhome. This includes having written down expectations in case of emergencies or illness, meal plans as well as providing varied curriculum with activities like Child’s hands on projects that are made throughout the day. Our dayhome serves not more than six children, so only limited spots are available.

Does Montessori Curriculum promotes Mixed-age classroom?
Yes. Montessori method encourages kids to make strong bonding with other kids who are not from their own age. It eliminates the sense of competition among kids. Children are more likely to learn from each other. This elevates the social and academic skills among children.
What does Montessori mean in childcare?
Children’s self-motivation, creativity and independence are encouraged in a Montessori classroom. Students learn through hands on activities with guidance from trained teachers who offer age appropriate learning opportunities for all children.
